Air Courier
Door to door, by air
- Charged on
- Chargeable weight, door to door.
- What moves it
- Charged on the higher of actual weight and volumetric weight, at length by width by height in centimetres divided by 5000.
- Collection and delivery are part of the price, so both addresses change it.
- Perishables are not carried.
- Not included
- Duties and taxes. Customs clearance unless quoted. Goods needing special handling.

Airport Cargo
Airport to airport
- Charged on
- Chargeable weight, airport to airport.
- What moves it
- Charged on the higher of actual weight and volumetric weight, at length by width by height in centimetres divided by 5000.
- Twenty kilos is the minimum consignment.
- You hand over and collect at the terminal, so neither end includes transport.
- Not included
- Collection and delivery. Duties and taxes. Terminal and handling charges at either end unless quoted.

China Import, Air
Guangzhou warehouse to AccraAlso called China to Ghana by Air
- Charged on
- Chargeable weight for most goods, per piece for some.
- What moves it
- Charged on the higher of gross and volumetric weight, at length by width by height in centimetres divided by 5000.
- Phones, tablets, watches, projectors and electric toothbrushes are charged per piece, whatever they weigh.
- Headphones are charged on weight and again for each set in the box.
- Payment falls due when the cargo arrives, except for dangerous, resin and other heavy goods, which are paid before shipping once the Guangzhou warehouse has weighed and measured them.
- Not included
- Delivery beyond our Accra office. Duties and taxes. Goods needing special handling.

China Import, Sea
Guangzhou warehouse to TemaAlso called China to Ghana by Sea
- Charged on
- The volume your cargo occupies, in cubic metres.
- What moves it
- Minimum chargeable volume 0.02 CBM.
- Cargo over 400 kg per CBM (E.g. industrial equipment and some chemicals) is charged higher.
- Hygiene goods, electronics and heavy industrial goods are charged above the general rate.
- Payment falls due when the cargo arrives, with the same exception as the air lane.
- Not included
- Delivery beyond Tema. Duties and taxes. Goods needing special handling.

Cargo Groupage
Port to port, shared
- Charged on
- The volume your cargo occupies, in cubic metres.
- What moves it
- Minimum chargeable volume 0.02 CBM.
- Cargo over 400 kg per CBM (E.g. industrial equipment and some chemicals) is charged higher.
- Larger volumes are charged less per cubic metre.
- Dangerous goods, alcohol included, cannot travel in a shared load.
- Not included
- Duties and taxes. Clearance unless quoted. Delivery beyond the port.

Container Cargo
Port to port, your own container
- Charged on
- The container, by size and type.
- What moves it
- Twenty foot, forty foot and high cube, dry or refrigerated.
- The price follows the sailing, so it moves with the route and the date.
- A refrigerated container is priced separately from a dry one of the same size.
- Not included
- Duties and taxes. Clearance unless quoted. Demurrage and detention. Delivery beyond the port.

Customs Clearance
Accra Airport and Tema Port
- Charged on
- The volume and declared value of the cargo.
- What moves it
- Handling, documentation, duty fees and levies, the gateway’s own charges and the ancillary fees are covered.
- GPHA fees apply at Tema only.
- Duties and levies are set by Ghana Customs on the declared value, not by us.
- Not included
- Delivery of the cargo once released.

Ask what is included.
A low freight figure is not always the full cost. Request a written breakdown covering collection, export handling, transport, customs clearance, duties and taxes, insurance, storage and final delivery.
Understand the charging basis.
Air services commonly consider both gross and dimensional weight. Sea services may use a container price or an agreed weight or volume basis. Minimums, rounding and cargo categories can affect the final quotation.
